NHS Professionals names Nicola McQueen as CEO

NHS Professionals, the UK's government-owned temporary staff supplier to the National Health Service, announced that it has appointed Nicola McQueen as its new chief executive officer, effective Sept. 2.

McQueen has worked in the recruitment industry for more than 20 years, first joining Hays then moving to Capita. More recently, she was CEO of Affinity Workforce before joining NHS Professionals as interim COO in January 2019.

Recognized for her influence and leadership in the world of work. McQueen was included in SIA’s Global Power 150 - Woman in Staffing in both 2017 and 2018.

“Working at NHSP over the last few months, I have been delighted by the dedication and commitment of NHS Professionals' staff and pleased by the impact that we have on our partner trusts,” McQueen said. “I look forward to building on this by supporting and encouraging our talented teams to deliver the best customer experience for both our flexible workforce and NHS Trusts”.

“Nicola has a strong background in the flexible staffing sector, a real commitment to effective delivery of services to clients, and solid experience of running change programmes” said Stephen Collier, Chairman of NHS Professionals.

“This appointment comes at a pivotal time for NHS Professionals as it contributes to the delivery of the recently published Interim NHS People Plan, which aims to help build a workforce that is fit for a world-class 21st century healthcare system,” NHS Professionals stated.
