Power Staffing Solutions, a Toronto-based staffing firm, acquired Hourglass HR, a provider of RPO, healthcare, IT and engineering staffing based in Ottawa, Ontario.

With the acquisition, Hourglass HR founder Mark Cohen has been appointed as Power Staffing Solutions’ VP. Cohen has more than 30 years of experience in sales, staffing, training, management and development. He will report to Power Staffing Solutions Managing Partner Saye Sathiyakumar.

Meanwhile, Hourglass HR managing director Jonathan Cohen will continue to lead the company as director of operations.

The deal follows Power Staffing Solutions’ acquisition in February of the private homecare organization Stay Home Forever. Power Staffing Solutions was founded in 2018.
