Airswift expands offshore wind footprint with joint venture

Airswift, the sixth-largest engineering staffing firm in the US, announced a new joint venture in Taiwan with HR and payroll software solution provider Take5People.

The partnership will enable Airswift — a global workforce solutions provider for the energy sector — to expand its presence in Asia and continue to diversify its business into the renewables sector.

Taiwan is a burgeoning hub for the offshore wind sector, with a predicted 15 gigawatts offshore wind capacity by 2035.The joint-venture will allow Airswift to immediately deliver its full spectrum of services within the region while accommodating local regulations and legislation.

“By leveraging Take5People’s of local expertise, Airswift will be able to provide its clients with a holistic and fully compliant service,” the group stated. “Together, the companies will provide unrivalled expertise and local knowledge to help find the right manpower and skills, generating local employment and helping to boost the local economy.”

Earlier this year, Airswift formed a joint venture in Vietnam with Source of Asia, targeting growth in the offshore wind sector.

“The draw of Taiwan is of no coincidence for Airswift,” the group stated. “Following a JV in Vietnam in June 2020, the company continues to diversify into offshore wind. As a hub for this booming industry, Taiwan is a key strategic location for Airswift to engage with new prospects and existing clients in this space.”
