Workway, a national staffing firm headquartered in Irving, Texas, acquired Dallas-based Regal Personnel, a regional firm providing direct hire and executive search services.

The transaction closed Sept. 1; terms were not disclosed. Regal Personnel President Adria Pearl will serve as the VP of the newly created Workway Regal division, which will operate as a business line within Workway.

“We are delighted to announce this merger, which is key to the Workway strategy to grow our presence in the Texas market and increase our offering beyond our traditional our core business lines in the real estate and banking sectors,” Workway CEO James Bowmer said. “Regal Personnel is known for their talented and tenured team, strong brand recognition and excellent client base. We look forward to providing these additional resources to our current and expanding client base.”

Regal Personnel targets administration, human resources, legal, sales and marketing and corporate operations sectors across a variety of industries. Its three internal employees make about 100 direct hire placements annually, and the company counts $1 million in annual revenue.

Workway, which provides staffing to the financial services industry, has 60 internal employees in nine offices. The company makes about 2,000 placements annually and counts $30 million in annual revenue.
