Volt Information Sciences Inc. (OTCBB: VISI.PK), an information technology staffing and services and engineering staffing firm, named James Whitney Mayhew as interim chief financial officer. He has been the company’s vice president of finance and corporate controller. Current CFO Jack Egan will be transitioning the role of senior vice president, global planning and budgeting.

Before joining Volt in 2010, Whitney was with KPMG LLP, an independent accounting firm, for more than 21 years, most recently as an audit partner serving primarily multi-national SEC registrants. His most recent assignments included four years in Silicon Valley serving technology and services companies and a four-year international assignment in Asia, with previous assignments in New York and Seattle.
