VMS provider Shiftwise names new president

October 10, 2016

ShiftWise, a vendor management system provider for the healthcare industry, named Steven Rodriguez as president, effective Sept. 19. He replaces Jason Drucker, who is no longer with the company.

AMN Healthcare Inc. (NYSE: AHS), the largest US healthcare staffing firm, acquired Portland, Ore.-based Shiftwise in 2013.

Rodriguez most recently was COO at Asure Software, a workforce technology company. Before joining Asure Software, he served as a principal for HCS, a consulting company that he founded. Rodriguez also held executive leadership roles at Perquest, Ceridian, Epicor and ADP.

“I am delighted that Steven is joining the AMN Healthcare family,” said AMN President and CEO Susan Salka. “We’re eager for him to put his experience and expertise to work helping our clients reduce complexity in finding and managing contingent healthcare labor through applying the sophisticated technology that ShiftWise delivers.”

ShiftWise provides services to 1,800 healthcare facilities in 48 states nationwide. It counts about 100 employees, and expects $1 billion in spend under management in 2016.
