VMS and MSP provider Magnit replaces CEO

May 03, 2023

Magnit, a provider of VMS and MSP, announced today that Kevin Akeroyd is leaving his role as CEO. The position is now being filled by Teresa Carroll, an independent board member at Magnit and longtime workforce solutions industry veteran.

Carroll had a 27-year career at Kelly Services Inc., most recently serving as executive VP, Kelly Services, and as president of Kelly’s global talent solutions. In addition, she held the role of general manager of sales, marketing and HR.

Carroll was inducted into the Staffing 100 Hall of Fame in 2020.

During the pandemic, Carroll served as president of professional employer organization firm Oasis, a Paychex company. There she worked to integrate several companies into the Oasis brand.

Carroll had joined Magnit’s board in September 2021.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Kevin for his leadership over these past years,” Magnit Chairperson Mason Slaine said. “We welcome Teresa Carroll to the CEO role; she has deep workforce management expertise and will continue to focus on delivering the leading service and solutions our customers are accustomed to.”

Magnit was formerly known as PRO Unlimited before announcing a new brand in September 2022. The move followed several acquisitions, including the acquisition in 2021 of Workforce Logiq, a provider of VMS, MSP, RPO and direct sourcing based in Orlando, Florida, and the 2021 acquisition of WillHire, a provider of direct sourcing and talent pool management based in Austin, Texas.

“I am excited to lead the business and look forward to working with the Magnit leadership team and board of directors to achieve our ambitious strategic goals,” Carroll said. “The opportunity that lies ahead for our business is tremendous.”
