Human cloud/ride-sharing firm Uber reported a second-quarter loss of $891 million on Wednesday, Bloomberg reported. It’s a 16% improvement from the same quarter a year ago, but the company had posted a profit in the first quarter. Bloomberg said Uber is planning an initial public offering in the second half of next year. Staffing Industry Analysts ranks Uber as the largest business-to-consumer human cloud platform.
