Uber Technologies Inc. is working on a service that will enable users to hire people to conduct various nondriving tasks, similar to work services platform TaskRabbit, Bloomberg reported. Codenamed “Chore,” the service will allow users to specify jobs and hire a “tasker” for a minimum of one hour. The project was discovered by a developer and shared with Bloomberg News, but the news agency reported there is no guarantee the company will launch such a service and it isn’t testing such a service in any geography. Uber declined to comment to Bloomberg on the issue.
