Uber names former Northrop Grumman CEO as chairman (Bloomberg)

Human cloud/ride-sharing firm Uber Technologies Inc. elected Ronald Sugar as chairman. Bloomberg reported that the selection of an experienced independent chair is a victory for CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, though there’s still plenty more to do ahead of an initial public offering expected late next year. Sugar is the former CEO of global security company Northrop Grumman Corp., and serves as director at Apple Inc., Amgen Inc. and Chevron Corp.
