US Citizenship and Immigration Services has proposed raising visa fees for employers, according to a post by Richard Green of CDF Labor Law LLP on JD Supra. The H-1B specialty occupation visa fee under the proposal would go to $1,380 from $460 today. Green noted a previous attempt by the agency to raise visa fees in 2020 was struck down by the courts.
