Starting this summer, employers began noticing that US Citizenship and Immigration Services was challenging an unusually large number of H-1B applications, Bloomberg reported. The number of challenges — officially known as “requests for evidence” — are up 44% compared to last year, the highest level they’ve been since 2009.
