US temp staffing hours were roughly stable in the week ended Feb. 17 compared to the previous week, according to the latest SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator report. Commercial staffing hours were flat, and professional staffing was down just 1.1%.

The report noted “the stable sequential trend for commercial hours and [week over week] decline for professional staffing suggest that the post-holiday season lift is over. Next week’s SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator will be reporting on the week of Washington’s birthday. We are expecting the hours worked to be impacted by the business closures on February 19^th, thus reinforcing the impression of a weak market.”
