Temporary staffing hours worked in the US fell 10% year over year in the week ended July 15, according to the latest SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator report, released today.
Commercial staffing and professional staffing hours worked both fell by 10% year over year. In comparison, commercial staffing hours worked had fallen by an average of 9% over the past five weeks, and professional staffing had fallen by an average of 8% over the past five weeks.
The year-over-year decline is roughly in line with the decline in temporary employment as reported by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
