UK recruiter Salt expands global footprint with Zelo deal

Salt, a London-based global recruitment firm, acquired Zelo Digital, a recruitment firm focused on digital advertising also based in London. The deal closed at the beginning of February.

The acquisition, effective immediately, aims to expand Salt’s presence across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific regions and enhance its digital line of specialties, particularly in emerging tech such as programmatic, advertising and media, according to the company.

“We are thrilled to welcome Zelo Digital and their team to Salt, marking our seventh successful acquisition worldwide. This strategically enriches our geographical footprint, undoubtedly furthering our capabilities,” Salt CEO Elliot Dell said in a press release.

“Zelo’s integration notably strengthens our UK and USA teams, expanding our presence in programmatic, publishing, advertising and esports,” Dell said.

As part of the deal, Zelo CEO and founder Gregory Mark will serve as Salt’s commercial director, remaining with the company along with the team.

Founded in 2017, Zelo will retain its brand identity as part of Salt, eventually integrating fully into Salt.
