Truckers held a protest convoy at the Los Angeles-Long Beach port complex Wednesday over California’s AB 5 law that aims to get tough on independent contractor misclassification, Reuters reported. A number of truckers took part in the protest and snarled traffic, according to ABC 7’s website. Some have argued the law could put 70,000 independent contractor truckers in the state in limbo. The US Supreme Court declined last month to take up a challenge to AB 5.
