Trilogy Education acquires career services and coding instruction platforms

October 10, 2018

Trilogy Education, a firm that partners with universities to offer coding bootcamps, acquired two startups: JobTrack, a career services platform, and Firehose Project, an online coding instruction platform. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The JobTrack platform enables users to manage applications and interviews; it also provides career advisors with data and analytics to enhance one-on-one coaching sessions, advising efforts and employer relationships. JobTrack’s technology will be incorporated into Trilogy’s existing platform, and JobTrack founder Adam Bedford will join Trilogy as senior director of product.

The acquisition of Firehose Project will add a self-paced online learning format to Trilogy’s existing portfolio of in-person and live online programs. Firehose’s technology and mentor network will be integrated into Trilogy’s platform, curricula and student services.

Firehose Project's co-founders, Marco Morawec and Ken Mazaika, will join Trilogy as senior director of product management and director of engineering, respectively. The full Firehose Project team will also join Trilogy.
