Thumbtack founder and CEO Marco Zappacosta looks to a quote from Bill Gates to help him stay focused on the long term, he told Entrepreneur in a Q&A. “Originally this was a Bill Gates quote. But somebody once told me that people overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in a decade,” Zappacosta said. “That has always really stuck with me. It’s just this idea that with a very long time on the horizon, with a very big vision and dedication to keep after it day in and day out, you can get staggeringly far in a decade.”
