Staffing provider The Reserves Network Inc. acquired Chicago-based professional staffing firm Mark/Ryan Associates. The deal opens up the Greater Chicago market for The Reserve Network and adds a more diverse talent base.

Mark/Ryan’s Chicago and Schaumburg, Ill., offices add to The Reserve Network’s six existing locations and multiple on-site locations in Chicago area. The Reserves Network targets midmarket manufacturing companies while Mark/Ryan places accounting and financial professionals to wider range of clients.

The transaction closed Jan 28; terms were not disclosed. The company will maintain the Mark/Ryan name and brand, which operate as an affiliate of The Reserves Network. Ryan Paquette, founder and president of Mark/Ryan, will continue to oversee business operations and all nine internal employees will remain with the company.

Headquartered in the Cleveland suburb of Fairview Park, Ohio, The Reserve Network was founded in 1984 and is family-owned. The company has 205 internal employees and reported $115 million in 2017 revenue. It employs 20,000 employees annually through its more than 40 branches in the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast, and works with customers nationwide.
