The Planet Group, a Chicago-based firm that ranks on the list of largest US staffing providers, named Philip Monti as CFO. Monti previously served as CFO at IT staffing firm Disys.

Monti’s prior experience also includes serving in executive-level corporate finance roles with Signature Consultants and Acosta Sales and Marketing. He also has experience with mergers and acquisitions; The Planet Group has acquired eight companies in the past four years.

The CFO role at The Planet Group was previously held by Tim Bauwens, who co-founded the company. Bauwens will continue to serve as CFO of ProPharma Group, a provider of regulatory, clinical and compliance services for pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device firms. The Planet Group and ProPharma merged in May 2021.

Phil Monti
