The Panther Group, a staffing services and workforce provider headquartered in Massachusetts, acquired New York City-based BOC Staffing Solutions. The asset acquisition closed March 23.

BOC, a regional boutique staffing firm, places technology and accounting/finance personnel within the financial service industry. It will now operate as Panther Accounting & Finance. Howard Ross, BOC’s managing director, will remain with The Panther Group as senior VP of Panther Accounting & Finance; existing recruiting and support staff also remain with the company.

“We see a tremendous opportunity to expand the Panther brand in the New York City region, and the acquisition of BOC will assist in that effort,” said The Panther Group CEO Sean Cogdell.

Established in 1992, The Panther Group targets six staffing sectors: administrative and professional; accounting and finance; technical and engineering; IT; federal government; and workforce solutions, which includes MSP, vendor-on-premise, RPO and payrolling. The Panther Group placed more than 4,500 candidates in 2017 throughout 44 states in North America, and operates MSP services throughout Latin America.
