The Cheyenne Group combines with London-based firm

January 27, 2017

The Cheyenne Group, an executive search firm headquartered in New York City, announced its merger with SRi, an international executive search and consulting firm based out of London.

The merger of SRi and The Cheyenne Group was completed in early January; terms were not announced. SRiCheyenne is the name of the new North America-facing company, whereas SRi will continue to operate in other markets under the existing brand.

Founded in 1999, The Cheyenne Group provides search and consulting services to the media, entertainment, sports, publishing, technology and information services sectors.

“The Cheyenne Group joining forces with SRi will significantly benefit the clients of both organizations in the United States and around the world,” said The Cheyenne Group CEO Pat Mastandrea. “Companies today seek to partner with organizations that can globally deliver world-class talent recruitment and consulting solutions seamlessly and consistently. We’re now incredibly well positioned to tap into the best talent globally, while maintaining our premier boutique ethos.”

SRi was originally founded in 2001 as Sports Recruitment International and has kept sports as the core of the business. However, in 2016 SRi acquired German sporting goods and fashion firm Heads for Brands in a signal of the company’s ambition to expand into new segments.

SRi has offices in Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Singapore, Switzerland and the UK, and the merger provides extends it global footprint.
