TextRecruit raises $3 million in first funding round

TextRecruit, a provider of a text messaging platform for recruiters and others, announced last week it raised $3 million in series A funding. It was the first funding round for the San Jose, Calif.-based firm.

TextRecruit offers centralized text messaging software that allows recruiters and others to text messages to job candidates while tracking the text communications.

The funding was led by SignalFire, a San Francisco-based investment firm. Other investors included Ben Davenport, founder and CEO of beluga (which later became Facebook Messenger); Julia Popowitz, former deputy general counsel at Facebook; Sarah Imbach, a former executive at LinkedIn; Steven baker, a former Google engineer; and Tom Friel, former CEO of Heidrick & Struggles.

TextRecruit was founded in 2014.
