Temporary and contract staffing employment rose 3.9% in the week of Aug. 6 to Aug. 12 compared to the same week last year, according to the American Staffing Association’s staffing index. It’s the third consecutive week the index has reached record highs for their comparable weeks.

Week over week, the ASA Staffing Index edged up 0.7% to a rounded value of 101, the first time the index has reached a rounded figure of 101 before September since its inception in 2006. 

The index’s four-week moving average increased again to a rounded value of 100, a record high for the same span of weeks.
