Temp staffing subcontractor accuses staffing provider, buyer of discrimination (Cook County Record)

January 09, 2018

The Cook County Record reported Labor One Inc. — a temp staffing subcontractor known for placing black workers from Chicago in service jobs — accused staffing firm Staff Management Solutions and staffing buyer Aramark of racism. They allege they improperly broke its contract with the subcontractor to provide janitorial workers to support Aramark’s custodial services contract at McCormick Place, after Staff Management learned all of Labor One’s workers were black. The case is in court now, and Staff Management has responded that it does not discriminate and was compliant with the laws in this case.
