Temporary staffing hours worked in the US rose 0.8% in the week ended Oct. 14 compared to the prior week, according to the latest SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator report. Both commercial and professional staffing hours worked edged upward during the week compared to the previous week, though they were still down year over year.

“The industry continues to gradually descend from the pandemic-era highs,” according to the report. “This dynamic implies increased competitive pressures but continuing and large opportunities for those staffing firms that have developed a competitive advantage.”
