Temporary staffing hours worked in the US fell 9% year over year in the week ended Aug. 12, according to the latest SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator report. Commercial staffing hours declined by 9%, while professional staffing hours fell by 10%.

The indicator’s year-over-year decline is roughly in line with the decline in temporary help employment as reported in the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly Employment Situation reports.
