Tandym Group, which ranks among the largest IT staffing firms, appointed Byrne Mulrooney as CEO and board member.

Mulrooney joins Tandym Group from Korn Ferry, where he most recently was CEO of Korn Ferry’s digital and recruitment process outsourcing businesses. Prior to Korn Ferry, Mulrooney spent more than 25 years serving leadership positions at IBM, Flynn Transportation Services, EDS and Spherion. 

“This role represents the capstone of my entire career, and I am thrilled to be joining Tandym as CEO,” Mulrooney said. “Tandym’s outstanding people, culture of success and admirable history of expansion have prepared it to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry, and I am passionate about leading the company through the next chapter of its growth story.” 

New-York based Tandym Group is a portfolio company of Mill Rock Capital and ICG. Tandym has acquired and integrated three firms since Mill Rock and ICG’s investment in Tandym in March 2021. In 2022, it acquired Metro Systems Inc., a provider of IT staffing based in Alexandria, Virginia, and Longford & Co., a strategic consulting and executive search firm based in Boston. In June, it acquired AETEA Information Technology, an IT staffing firm based in Pennsylvania.
