Talent Systems acquires reality TV casting platform and crew staffing business

June 20, 2022

Talent Systems LLC, a provider of software and platforms for connecting actors and models with casting directors, acquired the eTribez Casting Platform as well as entertainment industry crew staffing platform Staff Me Up.

The eTribez Casting Platform has been used to cast reality television shows such as Survivor, BigBrother, Idol, LoveIsland and MasterChef, according to Talent Systems.

More than 8 million people have registered on the platform, which was previously led by eTribez CEO Eli Abayan. Plans call for the eTribez Casting Platform to adopt the Talent Systems brand.

ETribez, now divested of the casting platform, will continue to operate as a separate company with its production management platform.

Meanwhile, Staff Me Up is an online network for hiring entertainment industry production crew members and creatives. Staff Me Up connects 350,000 crew freelancers to production jobs at more than 3,000 networks, studios and productions companies, according to Talent Systems. Staff Me Up also developed Coded for Inclusion, which works with diversity advocacy organizations and studios to improve inclusive hiring for historically underrepresented groups.

Staff Me Up’s own staff of nine will join the Talent Systems team. It will expand its hiring and networking platform, which currently focuses on unscripted crew, into scripted television and film production.

Talent Systems is based in Los Angeles.
