Surestaff LLC, a Chicago-based staffing firm, acquired Cardinal Staffing, a provider light industrial, office/clerical and professional staffing with 11 branches based in Maumee, Ohio. The deal enables Surestaff to broaden its service reach.

“Today marks a significant milestone for both our teams,” Cardinal Staffing Chief Operating Officer Joe Young said in a press release. “As we look to the future, our combined efforts with Surestaff promise even more opportunities for the people and businesses we serve.”

Joe Young will remain with the company, as will Cardinal’s VP of Sales Rhonda Clemons and VP of Operations and Business Development Christina Ice.

Surestaff has 39 branches across the US. Private investment Owner Resource Group acquired a stake in the company in 2020.

“Joining hands with Surestaff and ORG isn’t just a strategic move — it’s about pooling our resources, expertise and shared values,” Clemons said in a statement.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
