Student recruitment, job-matching website RippleMatch lands $6 million funding round

September 09, 2019

RippleMatch, a website that aims to automate entry-level recruiting, received $6 million in a series A funding round, according to a post on Medium by Jessica Lin, co-founder and general partner at Work-Bench, a venture capital firm that took part in the investment with G20 Ventures.

Right now, the recruiting of students relies on job boards as well as in-person, on-campus recruiting, Lin wrote.

“The beauty of RippleMatch’s data-driven platform lies in its effectiveness: creating a marketplace of students and proactively matching them with a highly curated list of hiring companies,” Linn wrote.

RippleMatch’s platform gathers preference information on location, career path and company culture for both candidates and employers. Its clients include Pfizer, Palo Alto Networks and TripAdvisor.

TechCrunch reported RippleMatch uses artificial intelligence to make matches.

The company was founded by Andrew Myers and Eric Ho, who met at Yale University.

Other investors in the series A funding round include previous investors Accomplice, Bullpen Capital and AlleyCorp.
