Sterling Check Corp., a background screening and identity verification provider based in New York, acquired A-Check Global, a Riverside, California-based global background screening provider, in an all-cash transaction.

A-Check Global, founded in 1998, was a part of the ActOne Group, one of the largest staffing firms in the US.

Sterling reported the deal will enable it to expand its footprint in healthcare, industrials and tech media.

The move comes after Sterling Check Corp. acquired Latin American employee screening company Socrates Ltd. in January.
