Newbury Partners and Leap Consulting Solutions Inc., two technology vendors to the staffing industry, recently announced they have merged their businesses.

Leap Consulting provides technology advisory services to staffing firms. The firm helps staffing companies find the right technologies they need. Newbury partners is focused on putting the technology together, handling the training, working on adoption and other aspects such as administration and optimization of systems.

Newbury Partners is known for its work with Bullhorn and does other implementations. Leap Consulting operates on a vendor-agnostic basis, finding the right technologies needed by clients.

“We come in as an agnostic party to really help them make well-informed decision based on data,” Lauren B. Jones, founder of Leap Consulting Solutions, said in telephone interview.

Plans call for the two firms to maintain their existing brands during a transition period. After that, Leap Consulting Solutions will become Leap Advisory Partners, a division of Newbury Partners. Jones will take on the role of president of Leap Advisory Partners.

“We’re hearing from a lot of our customers and executives in the space is they invested a lot in the last two years in technology, and they haven’t quite got the ROI that they expected out of it,” Chris Scowden, CEO of Newbury Partners, said. “The focus this year is to get the value out of the spend that they’re already making.”

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
