Staffing software firm Avionté acquires developer of Persona Staffing Software

June 14, 2017

Avionté, a provider of front- and back-office software to the staffing industry, acquired Applied Systems Technology, a software development company and creator of Persona Staffing Software.

The goal of the acquisition, which closed June 2, is to leverage partnerships between AST’s clients and Avionté’s staffing software technology platform. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. AST’s staff transitioned to become Avionté employees and will continue to support the AST Persona solution from AST’s headquarters in Cornwall, N.Y.

The Applied Systems Technology product will be supported until June 2018, at which time the brand and product will no longer continue.

“As the industry consolidates its technology and service providers, we want to be a good home for customers that have outgrown their current technologies,” said Avionté CEO John Long. “The thing that really stood out to me was AST’s commitment to their employees and customers and I’m honored to be selected as a partner who can carry out these high expectations. We will continue their legacy of excellence in customer care as the clients transition to the Avionté platform in the coming months.”

Eagan, Minn.-based Avionté provides front- and back-office staffing software solutions throughout the US and Canada. The company launched its product in 2005 and now services nearly 500 customers and 14,000 users. It is actively seeking acquisition opportunities.

The AST acquisition follows Avionté’s July 2016 purchase of Questek Systems Inc., the Canadian-based development company of Humanis Staffing Software.
