Staffing firm Populus Group LLC filed a lawsuit last week against law firm Clark Hill, accusing it of giving bad advice about paying employees with H-1B visas, Reuters reported. Populus alleges this led to a government probe that cost the company more than $2 million and damaged its reputation. Based in Troy, Michigan, Populus provides highly skilled professionals, such as engineers and IT workers. The company sponsors H-1B visas for many of them.
