Staffing M&A announcements: WilsonHCG, Vaco, Lexitas

October 19, 2022

Firms announcing acquisitions include global RPO provider WilsonHCG, staffing provider Vaco and litigations support services provider Lexitas.

WilsonHCG

WilsonHCG, a global provider of RPO, executive search and other services, acquired South Africa-headquartered Tracking Talent, a provider of talent acquisition solutions to organizations in the financial services and commercial space.

The deal closed Oct. 5 for a 100% stake in the firm.

The acquisition will enable WilsonHCG to continue to build upon its presence in the region while supporting its client base in EMEA. Tracking Talent’s management team will remain with the combined company.

Plans call for integrating the Tracking Talent brand into the WilsonHCG brand within the next six months.

“This partnership will allow us to continue to grow our presence in South Africa and EMEA, which is a great market that has a strong talent pipeline,” WilsonHCG CEO John Wilson said. “I’m thrilled to welcome [Tracking Talent founder] Katie and the rest of the Tracking Talent team to the WilsonHCG group.”

The move follows WilsonHCG’s acquisition of Claro Analytics in March.

Tampa, Florida-based WilsonHCG was founded in 2002 and has a presence in more than 65 countries and six continents.

Vaco

Vaco, a national staffing provider based in Nashville, Tennessee, announced it acquired a majority stake in BVOH, a San Francisco-based boutique search and consulting firm specializing in placing finance and accounting talent across industries.

The deal closed Sept. 30.

Plans call for BVOH Managing Partner Leslie Boudreaux to retain her role and the entire management team to remain with the business.

Founded in 2004, BVOH will transition to the Vaco brand over time.

“Leslie, her fellow partners and the entire team at BVOH have built an amazing business over the last 18 years,” Vaco founder and CEO Brian Waller said. “Their expertise in providing finance and accounting solutions to world-class clients will provide a perfect complement to Vaco’s strong presence in the Bay Area and will plant a flag for Vaco in Austin.”

Founded in 2002, Vaco serves more than 12,000 clients across the globe with 10,000 employees.

Lexitas

Lexitas, a Houston-based provider of litigation support services, including legal staffing, acquired Oasis Reporting Services, a full-service provider of court reporting and legal videography headquartered in Las Vegas.

Oasis Reporting Services was founded in 2009 by Bill LaBorde.

The acquisition enables Lexitas to grow its footprint in the Western market.

“We are proud to welcome the highly regarded Oasis Reporting Services team to the Lexitas family of companies,” Lexitas CEO Gary Buckland said. “Bill LaBorde has built an award-winning deposition services business in Las Vegas leveraging his 31 years of experience as a reporter. This acquisition will deepen our presence in the highly attractive Western market, further strengthening our national presence and strategic growth plan. We look forward to welcoming Oasis clients, staff and service providers to our company.”

The deal follows Lexitas’ acquisitions of Yorkson Legal and Phipps Reporting in June and July, respectively.

Lexitas was founded in 1987.
