Staffing M&A announcements: Allied Universal, Visier

October 24, 2022

Allied Universal acquired a security and staffing firm based in Florida, while Visier acquired a skill-mapping provider based in France.

Allied Universal

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, acquired Century Event Security and Staffing, based in Orlando, Florida.

Century Event Security and Staffing operates in both Orlando and Las Vegas, and Allied Universal aims to increase its ability to staff major events in the two cities.

“This important acquisition, a first for our event services business, aligns with our strategic growth strategy by providing additional operations and qualified staff in two of the nation’s most prominent cities for exhibitions and events,” said Steve Jones, Allied Universal Global chairman and CEO.

Allied Universal is a global company with revenue of approximately $20 billion.

“Becoming part of an organization with the resources, technology and depth of service that Allied Universal offers enables us to continue providing even more value to the customers and communities we serve in the event services market space,” said Marty Stein, CFO at Century Event Security and Staffing.

Visier

Visier, a workforce analytics firm, acquired Boostrs, a Paris-based provider of skills mapping for internal workforces.

“Adding Boostrs to Visier’s technology stack gives our customers an essential linkage for closing the gap between the skills they have and the skills they need to survive and thrive in changing market landscapes,” said Ryan Wong, co-founder and CEO of Visier.

Boostrs was founded in 2017.

Visier also said it has hired 10 Boostrs engineers and data scientists, who will continue to work in Paris and Romania with the Paris office becoming a Visier satellite office. Visier’s global workforce now spans France, Germany, the UK, Canada and the US.
