SVS Group Inc., a recruiting and staffing services provider based in Oakland, Calif., acquired boutique staffing firm Hallmark Personnel, effective May 28.

Hallmark Personnel, founded in 1983, was owned and operated by Julie Fleury and Mike Arnold for the past seven years. It is headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif., but will relocate to Santa Clara, Calif., in August. Fleury and Arnold will remain with the company as consultants for a transitional period.

Hallmark Personnel predominately targets the administrative and customer service sectors. Its clients include Stanford University and HP.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquired firm will operate as Hallmark Personnel, a division of SVS Group Inc. Steven Strawser, regional director for SVS Group, will lead the transition.

Founded in 1996, SVS Group targets a wide range of sectors. It now has five branches in California, as well as locations in Chicago, Arizona, Florida, Michigan.
