SThree's leader of Americas operations to step down

September 29, 2017

Professional staffing provider SThree announced the executive director and CEO of its Americas operations, Steve Quinn, will step down from its board effective Saturday.

The company, which ranks on the list of largest staffing providers in the US, doesn’t anticipate naming a board-level successor to Quinn. Instead, colleagues within the Americas operations management structure now in place will take over his responsibilities.

Quinn will remain with the company to offer strategic advice until he returns to the UK next year.

“Steve has made an outstanding contribution to the development and success of SThree in his various roles, since originally joining as a recruitment consultant with Progressive in 1997,” group CEO Gary Elden said. “Latterly, under his leadership, our Americas region has become one of our fastest growing and most important. On behalf of everyone at SThree, I would like to thank him for his service and wish him well for the future.”

SThree’s US operations ranked no. 29 on this year’s list of fastest-growing US staffing firms. Last year, the company had ranked eighth.

Quinn originally joined the SThree board in 2012 as chief operating officer before being promoted to CEO, Americas, in 2013.

SThree’s Americas business is based in New York while the company is based in London, where it’s publicly traded. The company provides staffing in the information technology and communications sector as well as the banking and finance, energy, engineering, and life sciences sectors. Its original business, Computer Futures, launched in 1986.
