Global staffing provider SThree plc appointed Mark Dorman as CEO. He will take over the role at the London-based firm from current CEO, Gary Elden, effective March 18.

SThree, which ranks on SIA’s list of largest global staffing firms, in December reported Elden planned to step down this year after leading the company for six years. 

The company noted Dorman’s experience in a range of industries, together with a number of years spent working at high levels in the US, a key growth market for SThree. He most recently was president of higher education, international and professional, at McGraw Hill Education for five years; prior to McGraw Hill, he worked at Wolters Kluwer where he was initially VP of its legal markets group before becoming CEO of Wolters Kluwer Law & Business.

SThree of the UK and Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), based in Detroit, are unrelated companies.
