SIA, Charted Path execs release book on top-performing staffing firms at Executive Forum

February 28, 2018

Staffing is a competitive industry, but only 140 staffing firms of the 19,000 in the US have more than $100 million in annual revenue. But a new book released today at Executive Forum North America in Miami Beach, Fla., opens the hood on top performing staffing firms and how they have succeeded.

The book, Breaking Through, was co-authored by Mike Cleland, founder of Charted Path, and Barry Asin, president of SIA.

Cleland said a finding in the book was that leadership teams are key.

“The development of your leadership team is more important to growth than anything else,” Cleland said. “It’s the most important factor; it’s also the most overlooked.”

Asin said there was no magic behind the success of staffing firms profiled in “Breaking Through.”

“We believe break-through performance for staffing firms stems from the leadership and discipline of chief executives and their leadership teams,” he said. “I am excited for the release of the book and our ability to contribute to developing industry leadership.”
