Riviera Partners acquires machine learning, blockchain search firm; appoints COO

June 12, 2019

Technology-focused executive search firm Riviera Partners announced Tuesday the completion of its acquisition of WorthyWorks, founded by Kyle Langworthy, and separately announced the appointment of Ryan Giordano as chief operating officer.

WorthyWorks is a New York-based search firm focused on providing talent with specialties in machine learning and blockchain. The deal took effect May 2.

Riviera Partners CEO Will Hunsinger said his company is experiencing the highest demand for its services in the firm’s history, and added that Langworthy and Giordano will help the firm scale up to meet demand.

“We are in a phase of hyper-innovation in the technology market,” Hunsinger said. “Established companies are embarking on digital transformation initiatives while startups and growth companies are embracing new technologies and approaches to deliver better products, faster.”

The addition of Langworthy will help the company meet demand for its services in the New York area.

“New York is a vibrant tech hub requiring deep understanding of important technologies like blockchain, machine learning and cloud infrastructure as well as the ability to navigate and fully participate in the New York tech community,” Hunsinger said.

Giordano will oversee the development of systems, business practices, tools and training.

Riviera Partners is based in San Francisco and recently announced a $25 million investment by private equity firms. And earlier this year announced the acquisition of Bamboo Talent, a New York-based search firm that places technical talent in venture-backed businesses.
