Executive search firm Riviera Partners acquired executive search firm Build Talent.

As part of the acquisition, Build Talent founders Brian Bocchino and Jose Guardado have joined Riviera as partners. Guardado is based in the San Francisco Bay Area while Bocchino is based in Los Angeles.

They will report to Riviera Managing Partner Eoin O’Toole.

“With the acquisition of Build, we are bolstering the team with two world-class operators, executors, leaders, proven generators, and all-around great people,” O’Toole said.

Prior to founding Build Talent in 2020, Guardado served as talent partner at a16z and Y-Combinator, while Bocchino was director of recruiting at Freenome. Prior to Freenome, Bocchino held technical recruiting roles at Gravity, Inkling, Dropcam and Uber.

Riviera Partners is based in San Francisco.
