A record number of Americans are choosing to work part time, USA Today reported. In December 2023, 22 million Americans chose to work part time. Many are working for others, but many are self-employed. There are a variety of reasons why workers are taking on part-time jobs; those working part time include retirees seeking extra cash and employees burned out with their full-time jobs.
