Randstad names new chief executive for North America, announces other exec changes

Randstad nv, the world’s largest staffing firm, named a new chief executive for North America and announced other changes today to its executive leadership team.

Marc-Étienne Julien has been appointed chief executive of North America. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the North American market. He joined Randstad in 2001 and most recently served as chief talent officer. Prior to that, he was CEO of Canada.

The executive who previously served as chief executive of North America, Traci Fiatte, is leaving Randstad to pursue other interests. Fiatte had joined Randstad in 1996. She will work with Julien to ensure a seamless transition over the coming period, according to the company.

Randstad also named Jesus Echevarria as chief talent and client delivery officer. Echevarria joined the company in 2002 and most recently was CEO of Randstad Iberia and Latin America.

In addition, Dominique Hermans is now chief executive of Northern Europe. Hermans joined Randstad 22 years ago. Her roles at the company have included regional manager and chief operations officer of Belgium and most recently as CEO of Randstad Group Netherlands.

Lastly, Randstad named Miriam van der Heijden as chief marketing officer.

“I have nothing but confidence in Marc-Etienne as he takes the reins of our biggest market, as well as in Jesus and Dominique as they expand their strategic leadership,” CEO Sander van ‘t Noordende said in a press release. “I would like to warmly welcome Miriam to the company, and express my gratitude to Traci Fiatte for her many contributions to Randstad.”

Julien appeared on the 2021 North American Staffing 100 list. Fiatte had appeared on the 2023 list.
