RCM Technologies Inc. (NASD: RCMT) revenue fell 14.6 percent in its fiscal first quarter ended April 2. The company reported revenue of $38.7 million for the first quarter, a drop from the $45.3 million posted in the first quarter of last year.

Gross margin improved during the quarter to 28.5 percent from 27.2 percent the prior year.

Net income fell 33.7 percent to $1.2 million in the first quarter from $1.8 million in the year-ago quarter.
