People on the move: Insight Global, Hays, ManpowerGroup, Focus Search Partners, TriNet, more

Insight Global, the second-largest IT staffing firm in the US, promoted Eizabeth Haas (Musser) to VP of Insight Global’s Business Division (IGB), overseeing the company’s sales teams delivering service offerings in finance, engineering, professional services and sciences. She has held several leadership positions in sales at Insight Global, including as regional manager, director of operations and sales manager. Insight Global also appointed Cillian Maher as president of Evergreen, its professional services division. Maher will also oversee the company's professional services expansion, including nearshore and offshore capabilities in India, Mexico, Romania and others. Prior to joining Insight Global, Maher was a member of Google Cloud's strategic partnerships team, where he developed GTM partnerships for Google Cloud with key customers across EMEA.

Hays plc, the world’s seventh-largest staffing firm, announced several changes to its board. Helen Cunningham and Anthony Kirby were appointed as independent non-executive board directors. Cunningham is chief HR officer at Inchcape, a multinational automotive distribution, retail and services company headquartered in London. Kirby is CEO, UK and Europe at Serco Group plc. Peter Williams, senior independent director and chair of the audit committee, stepped down Feb. 20 after a nine-year tenure on the board. Cheryl Millington, a Hays board member since June 2019, will take over Williams’ role as senior independent director, and Zarin Patel will succeed him as chair of the audit committee. Additionally, the board has established an ESG committee that will include non-executive directors, chaired by MT Rainey, with Joe Hurd and Zarin Patel as members.

ManpowerGroup Inc. (NYSE: MAN) reported Donald Mondano, senior VP, global controller and treasurer, will step down from his role effective March 15 to pursue an opportunity outside of the industry. Eric Rozek will take over as VP global controller and also act as the principal accounting officer for purposes of applicable forms and regulations of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Rozek has been with the company since March 2019 and since December 2022 served as finance director of ManpowerGroup Canada.

Focus Search Partners, a Vaco Holdings company, announced Joseph Solari has joined the firm as managing director. He previously held senior roles at private equity firms Saugatuck Capital and Metropolitan Partners Group as well as a global executive search firm. He founded Greenwich Private Investments in 2019 and continues to serve as a senior advisor to G*Ventures Management.  

Professional employer organization TriNet Group Inc. (NYSE: TNET) announced President, CEO and board member Burton M. Goldfield is retiring from the company after 15 years in the leadership role. He will continue as a special advisor to the company through March 31, 2025. Mike Simonds was appointed his successor as president and CEO and also joined the TriNet board effective Feb. 16. Simonds most recently was executive VP and COO at Unum Group, a provider of workplace benefits and services; he previously served as president and CEO of Unum US, Unum Group’s largest business unit, as well as other management positions at Unum.

Legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa, a part of the Allegis Group, added Crichton Clark as managing director of client development for MLA Interim Legal Talent. Clark most recently ran a consulting business providing interim and fractional COO services. Before that, he was the VP, global regulatory and head of US eCommerce compliance for Walmart eCommerce.

AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AMN), one of the largest US healthcare staffing firms, reported that Martha H. Marsh, a member of its board of directors since 2010, will not stand for re-election at the company’s upcoming annual company meeting but will continue to serve as a board member until her current term expires. Her departure will lead to a reduction in the board’s size to eight directors. Marsh’s decision was not the result of any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices.

Star Staffing, a staffing firm based in Santa Rosa, California, expanded its leadership team with five new management leads. Vice President Jennifer Dutro previously managed 12 offices and 11 onsite locations throughout Northern and Central California; she has also managed teams in the Nevada market with offices in Reno and Carson City, including launching a large staffing branch in Las Vegas. Area Director Dawn Beckwith will oversee Star’s Eastern Region of Sacramento and Modesto, California; her expertise is in the food and beverage and manufacturing industries, and she spent the last decade as market VP for a large California firm. Rachel MacNeil, director of business solutions, is returning to Star to build its technology automation and efficiencies. Amy Kingma, director of client success, managed multiple teams across the West Coast during her 27-year staffing career. Teresa Castillo Medina, area director, North Bay, has 16 years of experience with Star, including as a staff recruiting specialist and branch manager. Star previously announced that president and co-owner Nicole Smartt exited the company in December 2023.

San Francisco-based RefAssured Inc., whose product automates reference checking for staffing firms, named Erich Hugunin as chief revenue officer. Hugunin most recently served as SVP of strategic partnerships at TextUs, a Denver-based software company. In his new role, Hugunin will spearhead RefAssured's global sales strategy, driving revenue growth and expanding market reach.
