People: Upwork, The Delta Companies, Sevenstep, Catapult, Bullhorn, Fortune, ZRG, Top Gun, Triple Crown

Online staffing provider Upwork Inc. (NASDAQ: UPWK), the largest global, B2B-focused human cloud platform, named Tim Sanders as VP of customer insights. Sanders has more than 25 years of experience, including serving as chief solutions officer at Yahoo. He is also the author of several books, including Love Is the Killer App: How to Win Business and Influence Friends along with co-author as well as Dealstorming. Sanders’ role will include leading enterprises in their adoption of Upwork and developing key insights for and about Upwork customers. “I’ve been in love with Upwork for a few years as a customer and recently consulting to its team,” Sanders said. “The more I learned about Upwork’s culture, vision and capabilities, the more I wanted to be part of this journey.”

Healthcare staffing firm The Delta Companies promoted DeLibra Wesley to chief operating officer. Wesley had previously served as executive VP of operations at the Dallas-based company as well as VP of risk management and as senior VP of operations.

RPO provider Sevenstep named Yates Baker as VP of client solutions and Penny Burnett as VP of transformation. Baker has prior work experience at IBM/Kenexa and most recently at KellyOCG. Burnett has experience as both a buyer of outsourced talent and as a practitioner within HR.

Catapult Solutions Group, a staffing and workforce solutions firm headquartered in Dallas, announced three new promotions: Mitch Blackwell has been promoted to COO from VP of recruiting, Angelo Salustri has been promoted to president from senior VP and Alex Anderson has been promoted to VP of finance from director of accounting and finance.

Staffing software supplier Bullhorn appointed Kristin Machacek Leary as its chief people officer. Leary will be based in Boston and serve on the company’s senior leadership team. She previously served as chief human resources officer at Hitachi Vantara. She previously spent more than two years as chief human resources officer at Forcepoint.

Fortune Personnel Consultants, a network of 65 franchised executive recruitment offices, announced Shelly Blackman is the owner of its new office in Bellwood, Georgia.

Executive search firm ZRG announced that Jamie Crittenberger will serve as managing director and head of its new sports and entertainment practice. Crittenberger will be based at the firm’s Washington office.

Top Gun Venture, an executive search firm, appointed Wallace Pond as partner and head of its executive search practice for education. Pond will be based at the company’s Denver office.

Technology recruitment firm Triple Crown Consulting announced that Regional VP Kyle Raymond will lead its new office in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Raymond had previously opened the company’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire office.
