TalentWave appointed Derek Sanders as VP – business solutions. Based in San Francisco, he will be responsible for driving enterprise sales for the western region of the US. Prior to joining TalentWave, Sanders was practice director – sales and marketing/human resources for Randstad. Earlier in his career, he also held senior business development roles at 24 Seven and Nelson Staffing Solutions. TalentWave is the new brand for the combined operations of independent contractor compliance/payrolling firms ICon Professional Services and Synergy Services.

ApTask, an Edison, NJ-based IT staffing company, appointed Richard Attanasio as director of talent acquisition. In the newly created role, Attanasio will oversee all direct hire and executive search efforts including the creation of a national recruitment team to support his practice. Attanasio spent the past 25 years in leadership roles for firms including Mitchell Martin, Open Systems, NetPixel and TSR.

Crowded.com, an hourly and on-demand workforce provider, appointed Daniel Cohen as sales director. Cohen most recently was enterprise sales manager for Recruitics, a platform for managing and optimizing recruitment marketing pay-per-click campaigns. Cohen has been in the recruitment industry for nearly two decades and was among the first employees at both Indeed.com and Linkedin. He will report directly to Crowded.com COO Mark Roth.

Phillips Staffing, a staffing and human capital solution provider headquartered in Greenville, SC, promoted Chris Borke to branch manager of the firm’s Greater Greenville office. Borke joined Phillips in 2003 in an administrative role and has held progressive client support, recruiting, placement and human resources roles for Phillips during her tenure. Phillips Staffing has 10 offices across South Carolina and Georgia.

Jordan Search Consultants, headquartered in O’Fallon, Mo., promoted Amy Taylor to director of operations and Heidi Johnson to associate director of recruitment. Taylor is responsible for managing company finances, developing and maintaining human resources initiatives, and developing organizational goals. Johnson will manage growth externally by developing, planning and implementing recruitment initiatives for client organizations primarily on the West Coast. Jordan Search Consultants is an executive, higher education, physician and healthcare recruitment firm.

LRS Consulting Services hired Nina Martis as branch manager of the firm’s new office in Denver. Martis has nearly a decade of experience in staff augmentation in IT, pharma and professional services. LRS Consulting Services is the IT and engineering staffing division of Levi, Ray & Shoup Inc., a privately held US company with corporate headquarters in Springfield, Ill.

Waltham, Mass-based WinterWyman Executive Search announced Kara Barr joined the firm as research manager, responsible for managing the firm’s research team. Previous to joining the firm, Barr served as a research associate at privately held executive search firm Egon Zehnder, where she specialized in executive-level placements for roles specific to data and analytics expertise such as chief data officers; Barr was also an active member of the US board placements team.
