Strategic Staffing Solutions, an IT and business services corporation based in downtown Detroit, promoted Jeff Nelson to executive VP. Nelson is the executive point-person for three large financial institutions and oil and gas companies, and Strategic Staffing Solutions International, S3’s international operations headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania. He will also provide leadership for the MidAtlantic/New England, Texas/Southwest, Charlotte and Motown teams. Nelson previously was VP and general director of Strategic Staffing Solutions International.

Catapult Staffing and Solutions announced Rick Codd joined the firm on Nov. 1 as COO and president, a new position within the firm. He will oversee sales and recruiting operations and report to CEO Patrick Burke. Codd has more 25 years in the IT staffing and solutions industry. He began his career at TEKsystems in 1993, and broadened his career while at Comsys and then New Boston Systems. In 2000, Codd joined DISYS Corp. He is based in Reston, Va.

True Talent Advisory announced Korhan Kivanc joined the firm as CFO. Kivanc previously spent eight years at executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII), first as the CFO of the Americas division, then as the global senior VP of finance. He most recently was CFO at The Chartis Group.

Diversant LLC, a New Jersey-based IT staffing provider, appointed Jack Cullen to its board of directors. Cullen previously was president of Modis, an IT and engineering staffing and solutions division of The Adecco Group, responsible for all of its North American operations. Prior to Modis, he was president of his own company, Technical Software Solutions Inc.

Advanced Resources, a Chicago staffing agency, announced Jim Dimitriou joined its leadership team as managing director of the finance consulting services practice. He most recently was CEO of Deegit Inc., a professional services firm providing technology talent to IT organizations.

Tatum, a division of Randstad Holding NV, expanded its private equity practice. Tatum provides professional and interim services including strategic, financial and technology solutions. Jim Schuchard was appointed practice leader and is responsible for spearheading business development and client relationship management. Chris Shaw, who has been Tatum’s director of business development for private equity clients throughout the Northeast for more than a year, is joined by Mike Blank as director of business development for Tatum’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets. Tory Raether, with more than 20 years of investment banking experience, joins Tatum as director of business development serving the firm’s Southeast and Midwest markets. Jeff Minter, based in Irvine, Calif., will serve as director of business development focusing on Tatum’s West Coast market. Nick Wilkins joins as talent manager, responsible for recruiting candidates to work with private equity clients on interim, project and executive search needs.

IWorkGlobal promoted Lisa Soughers to VP of human resources, responsible for developing and leading all human resources programs, policies and processes. She joined the company in 2016 as senior director of human resources. IWorkGlobal provides a suite of compliance and international workforce solutions.

The Huntzinger Management Group Inc., a healthcare management consulting firm providing advisory and managed services, hired David Tucker as VP of business development. With more than 35 years of health IT experience.

The Bowdoin Group, a recruitment firm headquartered in Waltham, Mass., in October appointed Scott Vierra as VP, practice leader. Vierra will initially focus on the financial services and FinTech markets before eventually shifting to the firm’s software practice. Vierra most recently was a senior member of the global talent acquisition team for Gartner, a research and advisory services firm.

Lucas Group, an Atlanta-based executive search firm, announced Carolyn Aberman joined its Chicago-based legal practice as managing partner for legal recruitment. Aberman most recently was legal recruiting director at the Partners Group (formerly Plante Moran Staffing). Amberman practiced law for more than a decade in the greater Chicago area before transitioning to legal recruitment in 2011.
